Miss P's Gluten Free
If your stomach is rumbling while at Market On Macleod, head over to Miss P’s Gluten Free shop. Delicious treats and breads are sold, all of them gluten free.
The Baker, Patricia Osuch, is a former executive assistant in oil and gas who decided to pursue her passion after 25 years in the industry. Osuch took a program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in commercial baking and hasn’t looked back. When many of her early customers made requests for gluten free products, she began to investigate. For over seven years she toiled, tested, and experimented in order to develop the perfect gluten free recipes she now proudly sells. Presently, gluten free items are her specialty although she also offers dairy free items.
After selling at many area markets, Miss P’s found a home at Market on Macleod where she has been selling for over a year. Here, Osuch says the market is “what a farmer’s market is supposed to be.” There is a spirit of comradery, friendliness, and caring among customers and sellers.
We encourage all of our customers to try some of the delicacies that Miss P’s has to offer. The difference at Miss P’s is that her products taste just as good as baked goods using regular flour. Over the years, Osuch has developed a wide variety of delicious products including moist breads and rich, tasty loaf cakes in flavours such as carrot, banana, and lemon poppy seed. You can also find light, fluffy cupcakes and tantalizing pies with buttery flaky crusts.
All of Miss P’s products are baked personally by the proprietor. She accepts orders and is also open to baking for wholesale.
